Steven Snow joins Muhlenberg faculty. - July 1, 2010

In addition to teaching at Caldwell College and his private studio, Steven Snow will be teaching voice at Muhlenberg College in Allentown PA starting in the fall of 2010. He looks forward to the new challenges and opportunities this will provide.

Hunterdon Vocal Workshop Scholarship Angels Wanted! - May 19, 2010

As mentioned before, I am doing a one-week intensive vocal training program for high school-age singers in Hunterdon County NJ. I am looking for individuals interested in making a tax-deductible contribution to underwrite the tuition for prospective students who need financial assistance.

Hunterdon Vocal Workshop

 

an intensive one-week vocal workshop

 

JULY 5 - JULY 10 2010

 

CLASSES

•Intro to Music Theory (beginner students)

•Intro to the International Phonetic Alphabet (advanced students)

•Movement and Stagecraft

•Audition Workshop

•Acting games

 

SCENES & ENSEMBLES

•We will be accepting a maximum of 20 students

•Students will audition to place in scenes and ensembles

•Because this is only a week long workshop, it is the responsibility of the

student to learn and memorize music assigned to them before the first day of the

Workshop.

•We will be staging staging scenes from Musical Theater as well as Opera and

Operetta.

•In order to keep costs down, students will be responsible for their own makeup,

costumes and props.

 

SCHEDULE (Subject to change)

 Monday July 5

5-8 sing through.

Each student will sing a song or aria of their choice.

 

Tuesday - Friday

10 am - Warm-ups

11 am - Beginner Theory or IPA for advanced students

12 pm - Lunch (30 min)

12:30 - Stage movement/combat

1:30 Accompanist arrives

1:30 - Music and staging rehearsal with either Steve, Alex or Accompanist

2:30 - Same

3:00 - Break out workshops (Audition, stage makeup, etc.)

4:00 Closing announcements

 

Saturday

Final Dress

10am-12:30

12:30- 2:00 Alumni lunch

6:15 Call

7:00 Concert

Steven Snow is now the Vice-President of the New Jersey chapter of the National Association for Teachers of Singing, the leading professional organization for the advocacy and development of vocal instructors.

New Studio Location! - August 27, 2009

Steven Snow is pleased to announce the opening of his new studio on Route 22 in Whiteouse Station. Centrally located, this spacious new facility will allow greater flexiblity in scheduling and is easy to find. This is a very unique production. Mr. Kennedy has taken the music from great operas such as Macbeth and Faust, and created his own libretto to tell a story about Pontius Pilate and his internal struggle in dealing with the decision to crucify Jesus.

"Bond and Beyond" - November 4, 2007

3pm Sunday, November 11th, 2007 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Scranton PA
- The Sinfonia Youth Orchestra and The Scranton Wilkes Barre Community Orchestra will be holding a concert titled ” BOND and BEYOND“. Under the direction of Fritz Valenches, music director and Leah Valenches, artistic director.
Tickets are $5.00 per person and will be sold at the door.

The program will Feature Three Tenors: Garry Grice, Thom Heaney, and Steven Snow. The program will include the theme from James Bond, Phantom of the Opera and a tribute to John Williams, which includes music such as Star Wars, Jaws, Superman, and E.T. as well as Holiday selections and Italian Street Songs and operatic Selections featuring three Tenors.
